Grab a wonderful night's sleep in Gibs's gorgeous en-suite. Located on the first floor, it is a restful and peaceful room overlooking our courtyard, garden and fields beyond with their great walking territory. If we have a favourite room, this is it but to be honest all our rooms are lovely. Gibs's has an ensuite shower, TV, wardrobe, Nespresso coffee machine, USB ports, kettle, mini fridge and more. There's also space to sit and work on your laptop. It is large enough to fit a cot or camp bed for children. We provide ironing and washing service on request. We ask all our guests to regard our house as a home from home so if there is anything you don't see or need while you are with us, just ask.
All our rooms are named after our children and this one on the top floor refers to our eldest's and his lovely wife. These days they have a baby daughter too so it should be P&B and Matilda's room. Like every room in the house, it has all mod cons such as USB ports, a cute fridge containing fresh milk as well as soya milk sachets, tea and coffee facilities, hair dryer, dressing gowns, TV, hot water bottles and more. The bed is a comfortable, French-style double with a corona at the top. As with every room, there are quirky decorative details including a chair which belonged to one of our grandparents and is upholstered with a tapestry created by Melanie's stepfather.
Named after our youngest son Jasper, this is a lovely, spacious twin on the top floor overlooking Glastonbury Tor. As with every room paints are by Farrow & Ball. This also has some stunning Farrow & Ball wallpaper as a feature on one wall. The room contains our usual quirky touches such as an old wind-up gramophone which still can play 78s and's a vintage typewriter which was once a tool for Melanie's writing. Otherwise the room is full of mod cons. There's a Nespresso coffee machine, wardrobe containing dressing gowns, extra blankets, hot water bottle for chilly nights and a hair dryer, USB ports, a mini fridge, kettle, complimentary biscuits, TV and more.
