Message From Martin And Melanie
We hope you have stayed safe and well.
In the midst of this crisis, we are delighted to report we have had a new grandchild, a lovely illustration for us that life continues and goes on despite everything.
Government guidelines dictated that we closed our doors in March. This week, we learnt that we can re-open again from July 4. Full guidelines have yet to be set. However, we ourselves have chosen to change the way we run our rooms for the time being. Owing to the configurations of our bathrooms, bedrooms on the top floor are available for one couple or as a family as a whole. Gibs's en-suite on the first floor is can be booked separately or can be included in a group booking.
We will continue to supply our feast of a breakfast which includes our popular home-made granola, compotes and jams. New to our format is room service. We will also carry on offering our convivial breakfasts round the kitchen table for those who would prefer that option. We will also continue to do suppers on request hosted in our kitchen.
We have always been scrupulously conscientious in cleaning our rooms. To add to this we have noted new hygiene requirements and taken a Covid Cleaning course approved and led by AirBnB. An individual's wellbeing is as important to us as it is everyone else - during the crisis we were shielding due to Martin's former brushes with cancer. We take health seriously.
This has resulted in another change - we are operating provisionally a minimum two-night stay to take into account new regulations. That means double the time to enjoy all the delights that our region has to offer such as the fabulous gardens of The Newt (one mile away) and the spectacular Hauser & Wirth gallery (10 minutes by car away). We look forward to welcoming you here at Ellesmere.
